I love when a piece evolves organically, when its personality emerges without a clear plan. A color or shape ignites an idea and before long I'm lost in thought and an entire piece is cut. I've completely forgotten lunch and dinner. Did I shower today? Oops.
This incredibly intoxicating experience is exactly the opposite of Lavender and Cactus. There is a clear design: a cactus, lavender, sky, and ground. I just have to make it all happen. Seems easy enough... Nothing's easy. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy!
